RFSC Week 4

In Review...

Weight: 307 (-0) Okay... so I'm looking at a pattern in my right hand bar -----> over there.

It shows two week losses, a gain, a maintain, a two week losses. So I'm glad this wasn't a gain. I suspect that this has to do with lady business... willpower, cravings, emotional responses and water stuff affiliated with that.

Waist: 46" (-1")

NSV: Passed my piano scales. One more test! ONE MORE!

Nutrition: I didn't track nearly as closely as I normally do. I went above my caloric limit twice for absolutely sure.

Workouts: 4/6... I need to do better. I'm close to being done with the piano stress. So close to having one less time demanding thing off my plate.

Mini Challenge: I visited all the challengers. Some blogs don't allow comments or wouldn't let me read them. Someone on wordpress has everyone blocked.

I didn't write the pay it forward post... because I felt really weird about it. I tried writing it like three times and it came out preachy and self aggrandizing. So here's the thing. I'm going to keep giving my motivational speeches to myself here. Posting about struggles and successes and hoping that helps someone.

This week...

NSV: Finish piano. Completely.

Workouts: as follows

Monday: mini Hiit.
Tuesday: Swim class + trainer
Wednesday: with trainer. Interval run.
Thursday: PIANO TEST + trainer
Friday: Interval Run <------ actually do it this time.
Saturday: Rest.
Sunday: Interval Run.

Mini Challenge: not posted yet. But personally, I'm going to find a NSV every day and write about it to remind myself why I do this. Keep my brain thinking health and fitness.

Big Fat Check In Love,

  1. Awesome exercise plan! AND just one more test, you can do it :)

  2. I love your mini challenge for yourself..I may have to steal that idea at some point. Good luck next week with piano and your health goals! You can do it :)

  3. When I was heavier, I could see a direct correlation between my weight loss and cycle. 3 weeks of loss, 1 week maintain, 1 week gain. Like clockwork, a 5 week cycle. Now, I don't notice the gain so much, it's more like a maintain or a very slight gain, so I know that losing weight is normalizing my hormones which is a good thing! So hang in there, notice the patterns but don't let them rule you. You are doing great.

    1. That's so good to know that I'm not crazy or alone with that whole cycle bit. I keep thinking I'm just being overly paranoid.

  4. As usual Nanette you've been busy juggling work and weight. I find you inspiring!

  5. I love your mini challenge this week, that's an inspiring one! Kudos on the piano, one more to go WOOP!!!
Best of luck for this week Nanette :)

  6. You'll nail that test!
Here's to a great week, I need to get my shit together !!

  7. Good luck this week Nanette. I know that you can do anything that you put your mind too.
I wish I could hear you play Nanette. Maybe someday you could do a video of you playing something.
Take care and have a great week!!

    1. Not sure you'd like hearing me play... This is just a proficiency exam. The real pianists don't have to take it. I'm finishing up my vocal degree. I'll sing for you sometime! How about that?! :)

  8. Good luck on your test! I hope you have a great week this week!

  9. Hope you do very well on your test and have a great week five. :)

  10. Nanette, you don't have long until the piano test is out the way and graduation isn't far off either. Even though it wasn't a loss, you're learning to incorporate exercise into your lifestyle at such a busy time, so if you can do it now, you'll be on fire when the exams wrap up and can devote more time and planning to the eating.

Loads of luck on the test!! :)

  11. I hear Chopin in my head whenever you start talking about your piano practices. I think that's why I like your blog so much. You're "the piano chick" in my head...y'know how you assign different ID's to different people in the blogosphere to help you remember who's who? You're the only one with a soundtrack tied to your ID. :)

    Have a great week 5!

    1. bahahah! Irony since I SUCK at playing the piano (that's why this test is so hard... and the last thing between me and graduation).

  12. Well done for passing your piano scales. Good luck getting it all done!
Looks like a good workout schedule planned for the week - hope you have a great week 5 :)

  13. Congrats on the scales and your blogging movtivates me so score there too;-) I like the NSV challenge, I do one weekly but because I'm in search for one weekly I tend to notice things more often so it keeps me aware of why I need to keep on keeping on!

sorry guys, so much spam, gotta put the filters up again.
